I grew up in Saint Jo and we did not have that much things to do on the square except hang out after driving the drag. Love to see all the business that are now on the square. Windmill Grill is always a must stop for a burger and beer.
This place has the best burger I have had in years or maybe ever. Well worth a try if you are in town or passing thru. Prices are not bad at all. Fries are great and the beer is cold. We will definitely be stopping back by when we are in town. Love small Texas town joints like these!!!
Delicious burgers, cold Texas beer, and perfectly cooked fries. Unique setting in a historic downtown square.
Nice place, clean, great atmosphere, great service, good food. Good music. Dislike prices. Hamburger, fries, and soda cost $22.00, guess there's a reason prices aren't listed.
Ask for Jaquelyn Best burger I’ve had in years. Hot, fresh thin-cut fries. Cold Lone Star beer. Great wine from Lonesome Vine. Friendly service. Fabulous decor. Can’t miss
Great burger from a little hole in the wall in Saint Jo. Good old fashioned burger and fries. Nothing fancy or craft burger style, but still have several topping/cheese options. Fries are good just no salt/season on them but that’s an easy fix.
A group of 40+ of us descended on the unassuming Windmill Grill and had fast and friendly service. They wasted no time getting all our orders out. The food was delicious. They make an awesome patty melt! Thank you for your hospitality! We’ll be back!
Great place to get a burger and a drink. I had the build a burger and fries. The atmosphere is fun in this historic building with real wooden floors, pictures from the past and a nostalgic bar. There's a stage where they have some good live music. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable about the building history and the area
